The client is a boutique wine grower based in Napa Valley, California, with 20+ years of experience crafting unique and world-class wines. ​

Business Model

  • The client’s business model and strategy differed from other e-commerce sites.
  • They sell their wines to individual customers as well as wholesalers.
  • Seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike, are personally matched with a unique selection, carefully curated based on their purchase history, engagement with the brand & more.

Problem Statement

  • The client tracked accounts and orders on google sheets and Excel, which needed to be more robust.
  • Their sales process needed to be revised and required testing. As a result, the process was not meeting the intended output, and the client could not launch their new products on time.
  • They wanted to fill in the gaps and test their platforms, build new custom implementations, and optimize UI/UX design to expedite their new product release process on the portal.
  • The client needed a highly customized e-commerce platform for their elite customers.


  • We manually ran a health check of their application to find bugs and the scope of improvements.
  • Our QA automation team helped with performance and load testing on their website and resolved bugs, making the process error-free.
  • We helped fix the entire process from the ground up and fast-tracked the launch of their new products successfully.
  • Implemented Salesforce Marketing Cloud to send promotional emails and text messages as and when required.
  • Also implemented Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud to help seamlessly manage and track account details, orders, customer scores, and the entire trade journey through wholesalers.
  • Implemented and enhanced the functioning of multiple integrations like:
    • ShipCompliance via rest APIs for US and international shipping and tax calculations
    • MS NAV via TIBCO Cloud for inventory management
    • SMS Magic for text communications across the USA
    • Stripe 4ewsz for processing payments through credit/debit/prepaid cards
  • Worked on other product releases and implemented custom features in the Salesforce ecosystem for their website's new reservations and special drop features.
  • Regular testing of processes to optimize them further and enhance the UI/UX design.
