About the Client

The client is headquartered in the United States and provides global data science and AI/ML solutions. They cater services across different verticals/industries like retail, CPG, Healthcare, etc. ​

Problem Statement

The client's Sales team handled their entire data on MS Excel sheets. They worked on multiple accounts, opportunity information, and revenue data for those opportunities. They had to manage and collate numerous sheets daily and generate reports, which was manual and cumbersome.

Keeping track of this information using the conventional method became difficult as their business grew. To overcome the challenges, they wanted to move to Salesforce and incorporate some changes in the existing system to improve the overall efficiency of the process.

Solution

  • Initially, we configured a basic Sales Cloud setup for the client. We enabled accounts and opportunities for them within the Sales Cloud.
  • As their team adapted to the ecosystem, we developed custom features to capture revenues, set goals, and derive different reports in Salesforce.
  • Users could easily define goals for their accounts based on the criteria for different verticals/industries.
  • Incorporating the Cloud allowed multiple users to work on the same account, creating multiple opportunities in the ecosystem. These could be used in collaboration with other salespeople.
  • The application was enhanced at the opportunity level to specify their revenue segregation from different verticals and the percentage of revenue from these verticals.
  • Based on this information, we could automate their entire revenue calculation process, making it much more convenient.
  • The Salesforce Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) Reports feature helped derive custom reports, which could be used by different team members. We helped them group these reports based on accounts and opportunities.
  • Their Sales team could now manage the entire process efficiently and in a very organized way.
